Resilience- A love letter

Resilience. We wear it as a badge of honor. We utilize it day in and day out without even realizing most times. Have you ever considered how daunting and traumatizing so many things on this planet can feel? Not in a way to bring disparage to your conscious mind, yet in a way to be like “dang, look how many things are trying to tear me down. And yet? I get up every morning and I try again.”

The heartbreak. The distortion. The damaging relationships that try to take you from yourself. The bills. The laundry. The people who don’t care about you, or about any of us, that run this society. All of it piling up, trying to send you into a pit of despair.

But you don’t let it stop you.

You open your eyes. You feel into your body and you try again. Time and time again. And you keep going, you keep pushing and you don’t let it bring you down to an area of no return.

Resilience is magic in action.

Don’t let anyone try to tell you otherwise.

And I’m not talking about the version of resilience that is done through a way of autopilot. Back to the rat race because it’s what is needed. It’s this resilience that is tied to not giving up.

It’s your life force, being claimed as your own, jolting you back into a state of resistance. Because you refuse to let them win. You refuse to lose this fight. The fight for the life that you truly desire. The fight for your own dreams to come to fruition, for a life that feels like your own. Not one that feels like you’re merely running on auto-pilot, going through the motions.

This world is hard. This system is suppressive. This time in society is pushing hard against us to be what they want, who they want, and where they want us. But you, my friend, are amongst those choosing otherwise. You utilize resilience as your super power in order to not let the system win and take you away from the dreams within your soul. You don’t let it stop you from not only dreaming, but calling in the life and the community that you know is possible, and viable. You don’t back down, and you’re fighting the good fight. Not only for yourself but for those around you and your descendants who will inhabit this world after you.

Remember your worth. And keep going. Keep chasing your dreams and continue to use resilience in a way that doesn’t drain you but sustains you.

I’m cheering you on.

Love always,

Mo.
